This song started out called "Mr. Green" about a lonely, tired, and afraid old man. I was never totally happy with it, so I reworked the lyrics into familiar territory for me...unacknowledged teenage love with anger. The line "She doesn't care if I care or not" originally was "She doesn't give a f--k if I care or not, but that probably wouldn't have made it past the censors (Mom and Dad.)
