about

Another one from around 1979. I had been listening to a lot of morose songs by Al Stewart, The Beatles, John Lennon's first solo album, so I took a shot at writing something something "down" with a dash of mystic Yes imagery. I think one of my better early efforts.

lyrics

Nothing to do
Nowhere to go
Just sitting here doing my time
Trying to think of a little rhyme
But I don't know

I'm a loser
I can't win
No matter how hard I try
My well always runs dry
But I don't know

Sensibility
Mind and Spirit
Come to me

Well I gave up
You know I tried so hard
And when I was through
There was nothing I could do
'Cause I can't win
