about

A good friend of mine who had helped me through some pretty bad times was leaving and had mentioned that goodbyes are sometimes like little deaths, and there is grieving, and I just went with that concept. This song was written in the mid nineties so it isn't really young and early, but
I had re-recorded it with my Orangewood Baritone and I thought it sounded really nice, so I am ending the CD with this song. Or am I?

lyrics

I MISS YOU MY FRIEND
AND I FEEL SAD AT YOUR LEAVING
A PART OF ME DIES
AND I FIND MYSELF HERE GRIEVING
I AM GRATEFUL FOR
THE TIME I'VE HAD KNOWING YOU
BUT NOW YOU ARE GONE
AND THERE'S NOTHING I CAN DO

AS WE PARTED WE SPOKE
WORDS HEARTFELT AND STRONG
WE MUST GO TO WHERE WE BELONG

I SAID THAT I HOPED
TO ONE DAY SEE YOU AGAIN
YOU SAID THAT WOULD HAPPEN
BUT YOU DIDN'T SAY WHEN
