about

Definitely 1980. I believe I was a Junior in high school. I remember recording it in my little bedroom using ambient microphone placements.

lyrics

You know I've been up and down
Visions of you are in my head
And no matter how I try to stop
I think of you instead

You know another day doesn't pass
That I don't think of you
You're so near but
I can't get a hold of you
I'd drop you a line but I don't think you'd care

And so I try to pretend
I don't care what I think
You're gone, I say that's good
You know you weren't the missing link

Well, I've got to be moving on
I'm sorry to take your time
I just might not see you again
But you know I'll always be fine

You know I've been up and down...
