about

This wrote itself. I was in the Champlin UMC Church in the sanctuary, because I like the echo, and this just came in about 15 minutes. Originally done as a demo for my friend Rob Aldrich to sing, I decided to include it on this album as well.

lyrics

As I wait in my darkness hoping for a sign
Lost here in my loneliness to which I must resign
Blinded by my plight, turning inward with my pain
You wash away my wrongs as sweet and soothing rain

And I feel your thunder, and hope for the rain
Soothing as it comes - wash away my pain
As I sit alone here and I call out your name
Keep me from this darkness, I call to you and pray

I call out your name

Master of Forgiveness, Comforter Divine
I only need to call your name, you know this voice of mine
As I'm blinded by my plight, turning inward with my pain
You wash away my wrongs as sweet and soothing rain
