Written by Mike Hart, I first heard this song on a strange little record by the English poetry band The Liverpool Scene. Hart's story is somewhat tragic. An brilliant lyricist who fell alcohol addiction, his excessive drinking landed him in his later years in a nursing home, where he died on 22 June 2016 at the age of 72.

The imagry in this song is amazing.
